My son & I stayed for 2 nights, in Oct, wished it could be more. We absolutely loved this hotel, the views (lake), the location close to the town and mountains, the canoes (included), the kind family run service. We would happily come back & stay again. The room was comfortable and warm and spacious and we loved the wooden lodge style decor which is traditional rather than modern. Thank you- book direct for the best prices.
Fantastic hotel, love the location and the views. The balcony view was great for morning coffee. Close to all that Lake Placid offers and had corn hole games, fire pit, lounge chairs, kayaks, beachfront and the view of the mountains!
This is and always has been a great motel. The owners and staff are outstanding. This level of interaction is how it used to be and how it should be today everywhere. Great service and location as well as amenity. Rooms are very clean. Highly recommended.
Absolutely in love! Loved the lake view totally worth it! Free paddle boats, kayaks. The breakfast assortment was okay. Loved the vibes. The room was big and spacious. Bathroom was beautiful with the wood planks in the ceiling. Loved the dark wood detailing. Linens were plush and comfortable. Free parking. I would come back again! There are thin walls! Had a neighbor who was loud and arguing and I could hear the whole conversation.
Location is Great. Service is Wonderful. Stuart was helpful with food option. And on top of it My Son left his sneakers and they had them in the mail the next day! Thank you Again!
Our original reservation did not work out. It was a Saturday night in Lake Placid (during the winter carnival). I tried numerous places all sold out Wildwood as friendly husband and wife, had one room available and came to our rescue very nice couple and very warm and accommodating, the last room at a very reasonable rate. Wildwood on the Lake exceeded my expectations. Rooms are in good condition. We got the room with the working fireplace so that was just a really good time. If you are looking for a place to stay in Lake Placid and don't want to wayyyyy over spend this is the place for you.
Beautiful view of the lake. Has all the amenities u need to boating to swimming in the pools to fire in the fires in ring every night. Clean rooms and we'll taken care of. Owner do a great job with the place
